Ovid Alerts
You can create searches to run automatically on OVID whenever a particular database is updated. To set up and save an alert with Ovid
- Go to Ovid.
- Choose the "Personal Account" link under the Search History window on the main search page.
- Create a personal account by clicking the "Create a New Personal Account" link.
- Create search strategy and run the search in a database.
- Click on the "Save Search History" link under the Search History window.
- Give the search strategy a name.
- In the drop-down menu under "Type" choose "AutoAlert (SDI)"
- Fill in the space for "Recipient" with your email address.
- Choose your preferred options for the fields to include, and the format of the AutoAlert.
- Click on the "Save" button. Save separate searches under different names. The search strategies are stored in your Personal Account.
- You will receive email notification of the results whenever the database is updated.
